Automatic “Solver” Options to Resolve Geometric Conflicts

If the Stair input geometry is not compatible with the Rules of the current Stair Settings, the Solver feedback appears automatically, with multiple possible solutions to modify the Stair.

The Solver may appear during or after input - e.g. when you enter or modify Stair geometry values or the Rules and Standards, in Stair Settings.

It can also appear when you change a Turning Type or a Segment Type.

Hover over each solution in the Solver dialog to see how it will change the Stair. Note the feedback on the Stair itself, as well as within the dialog box:

Read the pop-up note to find out exactly what will be altered for each solution.

The colored fill and/or line indicates the part of the Stair that will be altered.

Click the checkmark of the solution you prefer: the result is a Stair whose geometry has been altered, using the solution you choose, to conform to the Rules and Standards.

See Stair Settings: Rules and Standards.
