Create or Delete or Rename Stories

Use Story Settings (Design > Story Settings) to create and delete stories.

Story Settings (and some story-related commands) are also available:

in the Tab bar’s Floor Plan context menu

Delete a Story

Use the Navigator or Story Settings (as described above) to delete one or more stories.

Warning: If you delete a Story, all elements that had that story as their Home Story will also be deleted!

Warning: The undo queue is cleared entirely whenever you delete or add a story, or change story height.

Create a New Story

1.Go to Design > Story Settings.

2.Click “Insert Above” or “Insert Below” to insert a new story above or below the story name selected in the dialog box list.

3.Click OK. The new story appears above or below the selected story. The numbering is automatically updated.

There is no limit to the number of stories.

1.Select a Story in the Navigator’s Project Map.

2.Use the context menu’s “Create New Story” command.

Rename a Story

1.Go to Design > Story Settings.

2.Click the name of the story you wish to rename, and type the new name.

Alternatively:

1.Right-click the story name in the Navigator, and choose the Rename Story command.

Copy/Move Elements Between Stories

When creating a new Story, you may wish to copy elements onto it which already exist on another Story.

Go to

Design > Edit Elements by Stories, or

Edit > Move > Edit Elements by Stories
