Integrated Structural Analytical Model

ARCHICAD introduces a new bi-directional workflow for structural engineers:

Automatic derivation of a Structural Analytical Model Members from the load-bearing, core elements of ARCHICAD’s Physical Model. Eligible elements include Beam, Column, Wall, single-plane Roof and Slab.

Sharing of the Structural Analytical Model, including continuously connected structural analytical members and Structural Links and Supports, with any structural analysis application that supports open source file formats optimized for this purpose.

The structural engineer, working in the structural analysis program, provides suggestions for changes in the analytical model, then sends it back. The Physical Model is updated in ARCHICAD.

Thanks to these new workflows and features, architects and structural engineers can use ARCHICAD to work in parallel to create buildings with correct load-bearing construction.
