3D Cutting Planes

3D Cutaway is an imaging mode in ARCHICAD that allows flexible visualization of building spaces.

3D Cutaway works by applying Cutting Planes to the model (Floor Plan, Section, or 3D window).

The 3D Cutaways you define are stored within the project, so you can see them when opening the project in a future session. You can apply up to 9 Cutting Planes at a time.

3D Cutaways are saved with views, so if you wish to keep Cutting Planes over the long term, save a 3D view.

To see the cutaway view of your model, turn on Show 3D Cutaway. To see the full model, turn it off.
