Use the markers in any view of the BIMx Hyper-model to navigate among layouts and the corresponding 3D model view. This is the same as opening a view from the Index, but navigating by marker is like a context-sensitive shortcut.
Marker Display On/Off
Markers are displayed by default. To turn them on or off:
1.Open the menu from the left edge of the screen.
2.Click the Settings button.
3.Turn on Markers to make Marker icons visible in both 2D and 3D views.
On Layout: Marker Links to Floor Plan views
In the 3D model, the marker icons indicate the type of view that will open: Floor Plan, Section or Elevation.
In 3D View: Marker Links to Floor Plan, Section, Elevation layouts
Use Marker to Open a View
1.Click any Marker (the circle) to open the Target dialog and see the name of the corresponding Layout (Floor Plan, Section, Elevation), with a preview.
Note: Depending on the model perspective, it is possible to click on a single icon that points to multiple target layouts.
2.In the Target dialog, click either Open or Show in 3D to navigate to the view you need. (Or click on the Layout preview).
You can do the same from a 2D Layout:
Here, we use Show in 3D:
Show in 3D: Layout in 3D Model Context
When you click Show in 3D from a Marker, you see the Layout superimposed on the 3D view.
•Hover or click the Layout to see its highlight in green
•Once it is highlighted (green), you can drag it back and forth
•Click any edge of the ghosted Layout, and right-click to see the context menu:
–Open the Layout
–Cut here to create a temporary 3D cutting plane
–Hide the Layout in this view
