Editing Custom Library Parts and Components

There are two ways to edit a GDL object saved from ARCHICAD elements: either edit the script, or edit the original elements:

Edit the Script

See Open and Edit Library Part.

Edit the Original Elements

Edit the original ARCHICAD elements from which you have saved the GDL library part, then re-save the library part (overwriting its previous version.)

To keep the original ARCHICAD elements, you can do one of the following.

place them on a separate layer, then hide that layer

save them in a separate PLN file

save and export them as a module (.mod file)

See Save Selected Elements as Module.
