Manage Model Changes

In Model Compare palette, the list of detected changes can be organized by groups, in different tree hierarchies, to help easy navigation among numerous list items. For example, changes can be grouped by:

Status (“Modified”, “Model 1 Only”, “Model 2 Only”)

Tool (“Wall”, “Slab”, “Column” etc.)

Source (host file’s or hotlink module’s name)

Classification

Selecting Changed Elements

When the user selects a changed element from the Model Compare window, or any item from the Model Changes list, the corresponding element/item is also selected automatically.

Icons at the bottom of the Model Compare palette provide instant feedback on which parameter sets were affected in the changed element.

For any selected item in the Model Changes list: context menu commands can Show on Floor Plan or Show in 3D.

Turn Changes into Issues

Selected changes can be added (individually or as a group) to issues, as highlights or suggestions. Model Compare results are thus integrated with the new Issue Manager and Organizer tools, for context-based communication with other project stakeholders.

For details, see Issue Management.
