New Offset Adjustments

Adjustment Rules help ensure a continuous Structural Analytical Model, which is essential for structural analysis. ARCHICAD’s Adjustment Rules can be flexibly tailored to apply to any groups of elements (e.g. by classification or geometry).

The offset adjuster is now enhanced with new methods, to accommodate more complex structures and enable the Structural Engineer to control as many real scenarios as possible.

New Offset Options: 1D to 1D Member

Let’s use an example of 2 beams connected to a column. Each beam has a different cross section and is placed with different eccentricity to the column.

For this situation, the offset adjuster between 1D members has now 3 additional methods:

New Offset Options: 1D to 2D Member

Let’s use an example of 2 walls connected to a column. Each wall has a different core thickness and is placed with external face aligned with the column.

For this situation, the offset adjuster between 1D and 2D members also has 3 additional methods:

to Edge of 2D Member

Eliminate Overlapping Parts of 2D Members

The “Cutback” adjustment rules now eliminate the overlapping part of 2D Members automatically. This provides a more realistic Structural Analytical Model and fewer Model Check errors for you to fix.
