Creating an Object

Let's see an example. To create a simple block object, double-click on the Block node in the editor. The new node appears on the canvas, and the preview is updated automatically. Set the block's default parameters from the node's context menu.

After clicking OK, give your object a name. The name should be unique among all library objects. After you define the name, the object will be created in the embedded library, in the PARAM-O folder. It is also set as the default for the Object Tool.

Now you can use your object in ARCHICAD like any other library object. The 2D representation of the object will be the 2D projection of its 3D model.

You are probably wondering why the object is green by default. This color comes from the Object Tool's default settings. If no surface is specified, we use the object's default pen to generate the surface.
