ARCHICAD 23 provides greater freedom to customize the floor plan representation of Beams, to meet local graphic standards worldwide.
Cover Fill for Beams and Columns
Beams and Columns now have their own Cover Fill on their uncut parts, like other modeling tools in ARCHICAD. User can select any type of Fill and set its orientation and distortion, including based on Beam/Column slant.
Hybrid Floor Plan Representation of Beams
Beam 2D display can be individually controlled for uncut and overhead parts as either Projected (provides the true 3D appearance of the Beam on Floor Plan) or Symbolic (as per previous versions). The cut parts always appear as projected.
Beams can be represented as axis line, with contours, or as a combination of both
The floor plan representation of Columns is projected by default. Symbolic representation is available only if Floor Plan Display/Symbolic Cut is turned on.
Hidden Beams and Columns on Floor Plan
As of ARCHICAD 23, a new Model View Option enables Hidden Line display of Beams and Columns that are covered by a Slab.
For example: a Beam covered by a Slab is shown with its Hidden Line:
New ‘Show on Stories’ Options
The value sets available for ‘Show on stories’ are now consistent for Beams and Columns with two new options: ‘one story up’ and ‘one story down’ available for both.
