Inheritance of Access Rights

An important feature of the Access definition is its inheritance: Access granted at a higher level of the folder hierarchy is inherited downwards by all of its child elements.

The final permission set for a user for the content item is an aggregate of all roles which have been assigned to him/her (or to a group in which he is a member). If a permission has been revoked, then it cannot be re-granted again at a lower level in a hierarchy.
