Edit Settings of One or More Favorites

Use this workflow to adjust particular settings in multiple Favorites (e.g., add the same new Property definition to all of your Wall Favorites at once). This workflow is available only using the Favorites Palette.

1.In the Favorites Palette, select one or more Favorites, of the same Tool Type.

2.From the context menu, click Edit.

3.The Tool Settings dialog box opens. (In case of multi-selection, the settings of the last-selected element are shown.)

Note that the dialog box is named, e.g., “Wall Favorite Settings”, and shows the name (“Various” if multiple) and number of the Favorites being edited.

When editing a Favorite of a Library Part, the Favorite name (“Various” if multiple) is followed by the name of its Library Part in parentheses (or that of the last-selected Library Part, in case of multi-selection).

When editing a single Favorite, you can edit its name simply by clicking on it and typing into the field:

4.Adjust the settings as needed and click OK: the Favorites are redefined accordingly. Only the modified or new Settings definitions are changed, for each Favorite in the selection set.

For general information, see Favorites.

Note: Favorites content and the Favorites pop-up are disabled in Tool Settings while you are editing Favorite(s).
