Filter Changes

In the Model Compare window, users can filter the displayed changes in several ways.

Filter Changes by View

As part of the comparison process, the user must define a 3D View from each of the two models or versions being compared: View Settings are thus taken into account. By choosing two 3D Views that use different Layer Combinations, user can compare two design variants from the same project.

3D View Properties determine participating model elements

Alternatively, user can choose a common 3D View for both participating models, if the goal is to compare different timestamps from the same model.

When comparing Structural Analytical Models, user can control which properties should be considered.

Filter Changes by Criteria

Filter the 3D model element changes to show only the relevant ones. For example:

Walls using concrete material that are thicker than 300 by defining a Custom Criteria set

Changes already being tracked in Teamwork (by re-using the Criteria Set defined when signing up for Change Tracking). For example: modifications to load-bearing columns.

Filtering changes by a Custom Criteria set

Filter Changes by Parameter Set

The Model Changes list can also be limited to show only the changes involving certain parameters. (For example, this way you can filter for changes relevant to a particular discipline.)
