Affected version(s): All ARCHICAD versions | Severity: workaround applicable | ID: 225105

After installing Windows 10 updates released on 03.14.2017, you might experience that ARCHICAD crashes multiple times.

One of Windows 10’s Security Update (KB4013429) contain a bug that reportedly causes some applications to crash.

UPDATE: Microsoft has fixed this issue in the Update KB4015438.

The only workaround we are currently aware of to resolve the issue for affected users is to uninstall the Update (KB4013429) or restore a previous state of Windows from a Restore Point.

Uninstall KB4013429

You can uninstall the update by navigating to ‘Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates’, and then double clicking on the name of the update to start the uninstallation process. After this, to temporarily prevent Windows from automatically reinstalling the update, follow the instructions on this website.
