Zoom and Pan with the Trace ON can increase memory usage and slow ARCHICAD down

by Gábor Almási · updated: 07.11.2016

Affected version: ARCHICAD 20 | Mac only | Severity: fixed | ID: 212530

ARCHICAD 20 might slow down and the memory consumption might increase on Mac after zooming and panning in 2D views, if the Trace & Reference function is used and the referenced view contains image(s) or PDF(s) with color override. Earlier ARCHICAD versions are unaffected by this issue.

To workaround the issue follow the steps below:

  • Change the color of the reference view to Original Color on the Trace & Reference palette.
  • Save the project and quit ARCHICAD 20
  • Reopen the project in ARCHICAD 20

{i} Note: This issue is fixed with the ARCHICAD 20 3016 Update.
