The 2D Navigator Preview Palette Controls

To show the 2D Navigator Preview Palette, use Window > Palettes > Navigator Preview.

The Navigator Preview palette has three uses:

It shows a small preview of the Project Map or View Map item selected in the Navigator palette.

It can be updated to show the a preview of the contents of the currently active model window.

With zoom and pan operations inside the palette, you can update the view displayed in the active window.

Go: Click Go to jump to the view you select from the Navigator or in the Overview.

Note: Clicking Go is the equivalent of double-clicking one item on the Navigator tree view or double-clicking on the Overview inside the frame of the Overview.

Zoom Out: Clicking this results in reduction on the visible plan in the overview area.

Zoom: Sets the zoom on the plan visible in the overview area.

Zoom In: Clicking this results in magnification on the visible plan in the overview area.

Zoom Pop-up Menu: You can define the connection between the Navigator Preview and the frontmost window. You can also redraw preview from here.

Real-time Zoom: If you choose this option, the zooming and panning operations made in the preview are continuously shown in the window.

Auto zoom: With this option, the zooming and panning operations made in the preview do not affect the screen display until you release the mouse button.

Double-click to zoom: With this option, the view does not reflect the display changes made in the preview. To update it, you need to either double-click inside the preview or click the Go button in the top right corner of the palette.

Redraw Preview: This command updates the preview window if you have edited the contents of the active window.
