Pair BIMcloud Server

Pairs the BIMcloud Manager with a newly installed BIMcloud Server. This function is available in the Server Root folder and any of the server folders.
 
 
 
 
 
The pairing process will make sure that you are in full control of both computers. Steps:
1.
Go to the BIMcloud Server computer.
2.
Open the BIMcloud Manager web interface in a browser window.
3.
Select the folder where you wish to place the paired server.
4.
Click the Pair command.
5.
In the appearing dialog, select the BIMcloud Server’s Public key, and copy this information to the clipboard.
6.
From the Start menu, start the Reconfigure BIMcloud Server program.
7.
The BIMcloud Server configuration interface appears. Click Next.
8.
Paste the previously copied public key into the Public Key input field and restart the server.
9.
Click next on the web interface.
10.
Enter the URL of the BIMcloud Server (including the http:// or https:// prefix and the port number e.g.:
http://computer.com:1228).
11.
Fix the error if the URL is not working, then click Next.
12.
Add a name to your server. This name will be displayed in the Navigator and used in ARCHICAD when referring to it as a host server.
13.
BIMcloud Manager will check if you need an additional license for the newly Paired BIMcloud Server. If it is necessary, then BIMcloud Manager will try to reserve it. You can continue even if it is not available, but the Server will be offline until the license issue is resolved
The BIMcloud Server will automatically appear in the Navigator after a successful pairing.
Troubleshooting:
•
Make sure the BIMcloud Server was successfully restarted
•
Make sure you Copy/Pasted the correct public keys
•
Make sure the BIMcloud Server’s URL you’ve entered is accessible from the BIMcloud Manager computer
