Mokuzai Kaikan – Collaboration with digital craftsmen through BIM

Mokuzai Kaikan (can be translated ‘Timber Hall’) is designed by Nikken Sekkei, Japan. The architect, Tomohiko Yamanashi talks about the concept of this literally made-of-timber building in Tokyo and how BIM enabled his team to collaborate with digital craftsmen who handle woodwork with modern technology, as well as unlimited possibilites of simulation using BIM.
